Azad Kashmir [2015]

We have been reaching out to the remote areas of Kashmir to support the local communities. The DRWT(Dhartee Rang Welfare Trust) Team celebrated Eid 2015 in Khel and distributed Eidi to orphans and Widows [Around 50,000 Rs]. The DRWT team personally delivered carpets to the local mosque in Sharda, Neelum Valley [2,70,000 Rs worth].

Peshawer School Attack: Supporting Families of the Martyred [2014]

When the devastating terrorist attack occured in Peshawer, the DRWT team decided to help the families of the Martyers from the lower staff of the Army Public School. Including drivers, securitiy guards, gardener and lab assistant. The DRWT team visited 10 families and gave then immediate financial and social help. The DRWT trust continued sending 5000Rs per month for a year to these families.

Baltistan [2010]

When the northen areas of Pakistan were affected by floods due to excessive melting of the glaciers. Reaching these diastor stricken areas with rations and clothing was impossible due to the floods. However, the DRWT team reached out to Khizar, Gilgit, Hunza, Astor, Ratu, and Skardu(via Diosai plains). Financial donation of 10 lakhs to families were provided along with warm clothing and rations, transported with the help of Pakistan Army.

N.W.F.P Earthquake [2005]

An earthquake of Magnitude Mw = 7.6 occurred on October 8, 2005 causing damage and casualties over an area of 30,000 km2 in the N-W.F.P. province of Pakistan. Shahla Mahmud Farooq and Kaneez Akhtar, the two daring women from the team of DRWT immediately visited the disastor stricken areas during the after shocks. The team reached out to camps from Manshera, Hassa, Balakot, GarihabibullAllah, Damghacha and Jeraid along the Neelum River. They stayed with the women and children to support them with rations and emotional help during this time of trauma. Financial support of 6 lakhs was provided to the disaster stricken families. Special Matresses for people with back injuries, medicine, and warm clothing were delivered to very remote areas. Trucks of pipes were sent to build water connections. The DRWT team is proud to have rehabilitated a school with bags, books, black boards and other school supplies.
